Funny Christmas Card for Work Colleague, Office HR Humour, Workplace Joke

Looking for a funny Christmas card for a work colleague who appreciates dry humour and a bit of office banter? This cheeky workplace Christmas card puts a mischievous spin on the familiar “Work Hard Play Hard” saying, making it a brilliant choice for anyone whose office Christmas party stories could potentially involve a quiet word with HR.

The front features a bold deep-red background with chunky white lettering and the joke: “WORK HARD PLAY HARD / GET ASKED TO ATTEND / AN INFORMAL MEETING / WITH HR”. Simple, direct and wonderfully deadpan, the design lets the punchline do the talking. It is ideal for bringing a knowing smile to someone who enjoys workplace humour, Christmas party jokes and the occasional tongue-in-cheek reference to Human Resources.

This funny colleague Christmas card is particularly well suited to the people you spend your working week with. Send it to a work colleague, coworker, workmate, office friend, boss, manager, employee or team member. It also makes a fun choice for a Secret Santa recipient, especially when you need something light-hearted for an office Christmas gift exchange.

The workplace theme makes this card a great alternative to traditional sentimental festive greetings. Rather than snowmen, robins and predictable Christmas messages, it delivers a joke that feels instantly familiar to anyone who has experienced office life. The combination of Christmas party humour and an informal HR meeting gives the design its cheeky personality without needing an elaborate illustration.

Quality matters when you are giving a greetings card, which is why this design is professionally printed with a sharp, vibrant finish. The deep-red background and crisp white text create an eye-catching contrast, helping the joke make an immediate impact when the recipient opens their envelope.

The card is made from premium 300gsm matte white cardstock, giving it a substantial feel in the hand. At 14.8 cm x 14.8 cm, the square format provides plenty of presence while remaining a practical size for giving or sending. An envelope is included, so there is no need to hunt around for one that fits.

Inside, the card is completely blank. That gives you plenty of room to personalise your Christmas greeting rather than being restricted by a pre-printed message. Add sincere festive wishes, continue the office joke, mention a memorable Christmas party or simply sign it from the team. The blank interior makes the card flexible enough for different workplace relationships and different styles of humour.

If you are buying for a colleague you know well, the HR joke offers plenty of scope for friendly banter. For an office friend or workmate, it can be a fun way to acknowledge the lighter side of working life. It can also suit a boss or manager with a good sense of humour, or an employee or team member who will immediately understand the joke. For Secret Santa, it offers an easy way to add humour to a small workplace present.

The clean typographic design also makes the card easy to read and keeps the focus firmly on the punchline. There are no unnecessary details competing for attention, just a bold festive colour, strong lettering and a workplace joke designed to land quickly. It is an appealing choice for shoppers searching for funny office Christmas cards, colleague Christmas cards, HR humour, workplace jokes or humorous Secret Santa cards.

Whether it is destined for a desk, handed over at the office Christmas party or paired with a Secret Santa present, this card is designed to make a fellow worker laugh. With premium 300gsm cardstock, professional printing, a blank interior and an included envelope, it combines cheeky workplace humour with the quality you want from a Christmas greeting.

Choose this funny work colleague Christmas card when a conventional festive message simply will not do. Add your own words inside, give it to the right person at work and enjoy the moment they realise exactly why that “informal meeting with HR” sounds suspiciously familiar.
