Funny Christmas Card for Mum – Cheeky Present Joke
Make Mum smile before she has even started opening the presents with this funny Christmas card for Mum. Featuring the playful message “Merry Christmas Mum. Thanks for pretending you like all our presents”, it is a cheerful choice for families who prefer their Christmas greetings with a little humour and plenty of affection.
Designed especially for Mum, this card combines a cheeky family joke with a warm and colourful festive look. It is ideal when a traditional sentimental card does not quite suit her personality, giving you a fun way to say Merry Christmas while still showing how much she means to you.
The design uses a rich festive green background with bold cream, red and gold typography to make the Christmas message immediately stand out. Small hearts add a loving touch, while stars, snowflakes and decorative details create a bright seasonal finish without making the design feel overly busy.
Across the bottom of the card is a colourful collection of beautifully wrapped Christmas presents. Traditional red, green, cream and gold wrapping is complemented by bows, ribbons, evergreen foliage and red berries. At the centre is a large cream gift tag finished with a red bow, carrying the joke: “Thanks for pretending you like all our presents.”
It is a particularly fitting choice for the Mum who smiles politely at every questionable jumper, novelty mug or last-minute present the family gives her. The joke is light-hearted rather than overly rude, making this humorous Mum Christmas card suitable for a wide range of families and ages.
This Christmas card can be given to Mum from a son or daughter and is equally suitable from grown-up children, younger children or siblings giving a card together. It also works brilliantly as a Christmas card for Mum from the whole family. Whether you call her Mum, Mother or simply the person who somehow keeps Christmas running, the message offers an affectionate bit of family banter.
Printed professionally on premium 300gsm matte white cardstock, the card has a sturdy, quality feel in the hand. The artwork is reproduced with a sharp and vibrant finish, helping the rich festive colours, typography and illustrated details look their best.
The card measures approximately 14.8 cm x 14.8 cm, giving it a contemporary square format with plenty of visual impact. Its bright design makes it an attractive addition to a mantelpiece, shelf or Christmas card display alongside the rest of the family’s festive greetings.
Inside, the card is completely blank. This gives you plenty of room to personalise it with your own Christmas message, whether you want to continue the joke, write something heartfelt or simply wish Mum a wonderful Christmas. A quality brown kraft envelope is also included, so the card is ready to write and send or give in person.
If you are shopping for a funny Christmas card for Mum, a cheeky Mum Xmas card, a humorous card from a son or daughter, or simply something less predictable than a traditional festive greeting, this design offers an appealing balance of humour and warmth.
The present-themed artwork also makes the joke instantly relatable at Christmas. It is especially suited to Mums who appreciate witty cards, playful family humour and the kind of gentle teasing that comes from the people who know them best.
Choose this funny Mum Christmas card to add a little extra laughter to Christmas morning. With its cheeky present joke, colourful festive design, premium 300gsm cardstock, blank interior and included kraft envelope, it is ready for your personal message and a well-deserved place among Mum’s Christmas cards.
